Join Holistic Therapies Practitioner Amy Bedford for an afternoon of Facial Sculpting, Mapping and Stress Release as you learn the practice of Gua Sha.

Through exploring this ancient traditional Chinese technique of healing. Participants will learn the importance of moving the lymphatic system using the gua sha tool for the face and body, acupressure points, meridians and contraindications for body gua sha. 

You will receive an expert rose quartz gua sha tool to take home, along with samples of our favourite products, with which you will enjoy a hands-on experience as Amy guides the class in how to prepare the face for the treatment, how to feel confident doing this at home and reap the most benefits for health and beauty, some of which include softening wrinkles, sculpting, toning and releasing tightness and stress.

You will also be creating a clay mask using kaolin and rose quartz sand, for deep penetration cleansing and preparation for proper home facial care and routine.

 Amy is certified as a Natural Health Practitioner, Holistic Health Practitioner, Aromatherapist, Massage Practitioner of Aromatherapy Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Thai Yoga, Hot Stone, and Reflexology, Reiki Practitioner, Shamanic Healer and certified Feminine Embodiment Yoga Teacher. 

 

Introduced to Ayurveda and Aromatherapy at a young age, she began to explore herbal remedies, lotions, potions and salves. 

Interests took her to a small village in Guatemala where she began basic wildcrafting with indigenous locals and received her first Reiki initiation upon a sacred altar site.  

She studied at the Institute of Aromatherapy under Jan Benham, earning many of her certifications there.  

An avid learner of alternative healing, shamanic studies and metaphysics, for nearly 20 years, Amy has continued to work with community elders and various guides worldwide. 

She recently graduated from a 200-hour yoga training with feminine yoga trailblazer, Devashi Shakti. 

 

During a healing session with Amy, she skillfully combines various techniques from different modalities, invoking guides and ancestors to be present while creating a unique experience catered to your individual needs.
