Herbs: Foraging and Preserving the Fall Harvest - with Danette Steele - the herbalist + city farmer
Join us for this beautiful opportunity to get to know the plants living in our region. We will take a guided walk to identify local plant medicines and learn how to forage sustainably. Participants will learn how to make Teas, Tonics + Tinctures with fresh gathered plants.
Everyone will go home with new plant wisdom, some herbal remedies made in class, along with recipes for more kitchen creations. Tasty herbal Teas and Tonics will be enjoyed in class.

Danette has more than 25 years experience as a community educator and herbal medicine practitioner. Danette consults and teaches widely on self care and sustainable practices for health and wellness using medicinal plants. Danette joyfully shares healing plant wisdom through workshops, herbal consultations, wild plant walks, herbal intensive training, and mentoring. Danette is in her element walking in the wild, playing in the garden, crafting medicines in the kitchen and talking about plant medicine.
